As you suggest, the recognition of this need is a natural part of the maturing process. While some teenagers ponder the question, it's generally not until we enter our 30's when we really begin to ask in earnest, "Why am I here?" and "What should I be doing with my life?" Sooner or later, virtually everyone asks this question in a sincere way, and until it's answered, and until we respond to the answer, we will find no fulfillment and little lasting joy in life.
