Also, like baking a cake, your not the first to attempt and won’t be the first to be successful at it, in other words, you can ask a baker how to bake a cake and you can ask a successful home business owner how to build a lucrative and rewarding home business.

My name is Joe, I have developed a few websites (like this one) that earn a steady income… I also work directly with some of the top earners in the home business industry.  Let’s just say I know more about developing an income producing website and building a successful home business than I do baking a cake.

How did I learn to build a lucrative home business?

I connected with successful home business entrepreneurs. In my case it was in the Personal Development field and I was invited to look into a very lucrative and intelligent business model that create time freedom and cash.

Well I followed a recipe of sorts.  In my case I followed a bunch of unconnected recipe’s and over a 3 or 4 year period came up with something that works for me.  Along the way I’ve been fortunate to learn from people who are the top performers in their perspective industry.  Here are a few of the tasks or skills I’ve acquired along the way:

Making money on the Internet

How do people make money online?

There are essentially just a few ways to make money online.

1. Sell your own product or service.
2. Sell someone else’s product or service.
3. Sell ad space to someone who does number one or two.

Selling your own product or service, like a traditional business, will involve creating your product or service.  This is the only big difference between numbers one thru three and I’m not getting into that now.  At the end of the day, if you want to be successful online, you must develop an online presence, you must put your offering in front of people who might want to buy, and you need to do it in a low cost or cost free way- consistently….

Selling someone else’s product is referred to in a myriad of ways.  From affiliate marketing to direct sales and network marketing, people have become millionaires online just promoting other people’s products and services.  Many lucrative business ideas are simply and affiliate marketing system.  Get good at selling other peoples products and you will enjoy a good income, if you smart you’ll do it in a passive, systematic way and you’ll enjoy a good and Passive income, I’d recommend the later.

Selling ad space is also a viable and lucrative home business.  I know personally several people who’s sole source of income is advertising.  A successful home business that uses ad space as its main source of revenue can also be a very passive income stream.

I’ve learned a little about all three of these and earn money every month from work I do once.  In some cases I’ll earn money every day from an hours worth of work I did two years ago, that’s passive.  I love passive income, did I mention that?

There is a lot of Crap online, especially in the “make money from home” niche, I’ll give ya that. But I remember two distinct things going around my brain at that time- One: where there’s smoke there’s fire.  And Two:  “Its gotta be easy”.  Well its not easy, it is different and there is a very attractive upside, but not easy. And yes there is fire, in this case money.  You can make money from home using the Internet and I look forward to showing you how and more importantly, WHY the Internet is in a class of its own when it comes to income and true wealth creation.

Yes, the Internet is a great place to earn real money.  No not everyone can make a living from home using the Internet, not everyone can make a living doing any one thing, right?  It’s not for everyone, figure out if it’s for you and if so, do something about it.  No, it is not easy.  As much as I’d like to say otherwise, it wouldn’t be fair.  I really, really wanted to earn money every month in a passive way and be able to work from anywhere.  I also wanted to know that as I became more successful at what I did, I would enjoy myself more.  My experience in the traditional business world proved otherwise.  Seven years into a traditional business I had over 35 employees and more stress than I would wish on my worse enemy… There was a lot of money flying around, but it was not what I wanted. 

As a side note:  I got real clear on what it was that I wanted.  That’s a big deal.  Success is measured progress toward a specific goal. Specific goal being the key here, I suggest you have one.  There are a million ways to make a good deal of money… it pays much better to work toward a lifestyle you truly want for yourself and your family.  More- is not a goal, having everyone in your town or community thinking your successful isn’t worth a hill of beans if your miserable.  Its your life, its up to you to figure out what to do with it.  That said, I think the work we do plays a huge role in our life and its probably one of the most important decisions we make.  Most people, myself included, get it backward from the start.  Figure out what you want first, don’t let a job or a degree define your life…. Where you work, what you wear, where you live, how many kids you have and how much time you spend with your family and friends.  You figure out what you want and then the pieces to the puzzle will be more recognizable when you come across them.  Most people settle for way to little, way to soon.

I don’t have any employees today, don’t plan on having any either.  My income can go up, my revenues can soar, I still won’t need an employee.  This is in part because I know I don’t want any and also because the Internet gives the tools I need to multiply my efforts without using people to do it for me.  For me, knowing what I didn’t want was about the biggest clue as to what I did.
